Hi! I am back from my Cohort 1, Year 2 Day 1 STEM Professional Development Program Training (yup, this is how I am spending three days of my break). I learned a great deal and met some really motivated educators from the Albany and Middletown areas. My AP/College Board trainer, Ms. Syers, was from New Mexico and taught us about effective thinking strategies for all students. I learned some great strategies to use to strengthening reading comprehension and content vocabulary. I am looking forward to tomorrow's training which will deal with science strategies. I also learned about a great online resource for teachers. For more information, go to the Teacher Resources page.
