I am excited to announce that Schenevus has established an American Chemical Society ChemClub program. At the first meeting, we had more than 25 students, 9-12, show interest in be part of SCS's newest club. The internationally recognized club invites, motivates and encourages high school students to explore the many ways that chemistry connects to their world. At our second meeting we will be choosing representatives and establishing committees responsible for publicity, school events and lab activities. Watch for our posters and blogs!

They are streaming live video 24/7! Check it out here! Hi Parents! Recently, I added a new section to the this blog. It is called "DIY Science". There you will find fun and easy science experiments and activities you can do with your kids. Each activity includes a list of materials, directions, questions to think about and/or extra activities you can do. For additional fun, post a comment or send me a picture of you and your child(ren) conducting one of the experiments and I will include the picture on the page’s slideshow. I had great time in Boston! I learned and saw a lot of really cool things. Everyone I met was really friendly and fun to talk to. I picked up a few great resources to bring back to the classroom. I even had my picture taken with an echidna! |
